About

About

I am a graduate student currently pursuing my Masters in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University with a specialization in Design, Dynamics, Control Systems and Manufacturing. I have a keen interest in product design and am currently looking for internship opportunities to participate in industrial research, to gain some hands-on experience. I love tackling difficult problems and coming up with new innovative solutions. I have a lot of experience working on projects not only from a design perspective but have also manufactured many functional prototypes using rapid prototyping, some non-conventional manufacturing methods (lasercut, wire-cut, EDM) and conventional methods (CNC milling, lathe). These prototypes were subjected to vigorous testing to identify flaws and improve the original design. With my passion, experience, and skills I believe this field will be a very good fit for me. I have attached photos of some of my projects below.

2019–2021

North Carolina State University

Master of Science, Mechanical Engineering

GPA: 4.0/4.0

Activities - University Dining Hall Assistant

2014–2018

Vishwakarma Insitute of Technology (VIT)

Bachelor of Technology, Mechanical Engineering

GPA : (9.12/10)

Experience

WHERE I’VE WORKED

March 2016 - March 2018

Team Endurance Racing (BAJA SAE TEAM) CAPTAIN

  • Led a team of around 30 members to build an off-road vehicle and compete at BAJA SAE INDIA and ENDURO STUDENT INDIA.

  • Also, headed the Engine and Transmission subsystem.

  • Effectively Managed 6 Subsystems which designed and manufactured over 150 different components for the entire vehicle (Our Vehicle was made of 95% custom components excluding tire, rims, shock-absorbers and engine.)

  • Built a Buggy that could easily withstand 6-foot jumps as shown and lasted the entire 4 hour long endurance race.

  • Conducted sponsorship meetings for funding different industry aligned projects (e.g. Carbon Fiber Driveshaft.)

  • Worked on Ansys, MATLAB, Simulink, (CAD) SolidWorks (CSWA), CATIA; designed different DAQ systems to analyze and study data for optimizing the design of these components to not only improve functionality, but also reduce weight.

STUDY OF STRUCTURAL CHANGES IN THE PULMONARY ARTERY DURING GROWTH

SEP 2019 - DEC 2019
  • Review of a Bio-mechanics study where the structural changes in the arterial wall of the pulmonary artery were studied with growth.

  • Utilized the Knowledge of Tensor Calculus in linear elasticity to understand the authors approach and to rework the constitutive equations of the PA wall Tissue.

  • Goal of the study was to identify suitable materials that can be used as grafts to repair or replace damaged parts, and should be capable to adapt to changes with growth to reduce surgical re-intervention to place a new graft.
